Chicago Wedding

Sunday, October 3, 2010

We had a jammed packed wedding weekend these past few days. Luke and I left on Thursday to spend some time with some amazing family in Indianapolis, on our way to Chicago for the wedding of my 3rd cousin (My mom's side is small, so 3rd cousin is a bigger deal than normal). We spent two nights in Indy with them, the second night my parents joined us before we headed to the windy city. We were bummed, as we didn't really have time for sight seeing because the wedding and reception were in a suburb pretty far south, but I think a Chicago weekend trip might be in the future (maybe at Christmas time). The wedding was beautiful, here are just a few pictures...

The ceremony was a 1pm and the reception was at 6pm. We got to spend a lot of quality time with family in between, and we only really got to stay for dinner at the reception because we had a 5 hour drive home, and Luke had to preach in the morning (I drove the whole way home, with an arrival time of 3:15 am... miserable) The meal was amazing, we had a sit down fillet mignon dinner... yum!

Their colors were hot pink and gray, and all the details were beautiful.

Blessings to Rob and Allison for a long and happy marriage!

"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." Mark 10: 7-9
